SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
With ethical viability at the heart of its brand Green People’s award-winning sun lotions are re-launched in renewable sugar cane packaging. Farmed on sustainable land, this carbon-neutral raw material captures CO2 so efficiently that for every 1kg produced, over 3kgs of CO2 is removed from the air.
EASY-WEAR FORMULA
Get smooth, fuss-free application with Green People’s ‘soft-touch’ lotions. The creamy blend of plant actives and soothing botanicals absorbs easily, feeling smooth and comforting on the skin. No greasiness, just feel-good sun protection.
REEF SAFE & MARINE-FRIENDLY
Green People founder Charlotte says: “Gender-bending chemicals that mimic the effect of oestrogen are common in sunscreens and these can have a dramatic effect on aquatic life and play a role in coral bleaching.” Green People don’t use chemicals that have been found to cause harm to the marine environment. Its blend of non-toxic filters guarantees broad-range UVA and UVB protection, whilst being environmentally friendly and ocean-safe.
THE POWER OF ANTIOXIDANTS
Green People sun care contains a synergistic blend of antioxidant- rich plants which work together to support the skin’s natural immune system, counteract free-radical damage and ultimately protect the living cells. Key ingredients include Myrrh, a powerful free-radical fighter, and Edelweiss, a natural UV-protection booster.
HIGHER ORGANIC PERCENTAGES
In perfecting its natural sun lotions Green People has achieved new highs in organic levels. This award-winning sun care range uses more than 84% certified organic agricultural ingredients in all its sun lotions, setting new standards for organic sun care. Key actives include, Organic Rosemary, Organic Edelweiss, Organic Green Tea and Organic Chamomile extract
SOOTHING ALOE VERA AT ITS CORE
Many sun protection formulations are merely based on a blend of water and UV filters. Green People uses soothing organic Aloe Vera at its core, boasting around 200 biological actives including enzymes, vitamins, minerals, super antioxidants and essential amino acids, helping to create the hydrating skin feel of these natural sun lotions.
FAIRLY TRADED MYRRH
Green People is built on a philosophy of giving back, whilst always looking for the very best ingredients to use in its certified organic beauty products. Supporting small farmers and independent growers is a key part of the Green People’s socially responsible stance, and the company is committed to offering fair prices. One remarkable ingredient backstory is the Myrrh oil which Green People sources exclusively from the Himba Tribe in Namibia. Myrrh survives in extremely arid conditions. Collected by the female members of the Himba Tribe in Namibia (Africa) and sold as their only source of income. It takes one woman 4hrs to collect 1kg of Myrrh gum hidden amongst the thorns of the Commiphora tree. Green People has sourced fairly traded Myrrh resin exclusively from the Himba Tribe for over 10 years, helping to support an ancient way of life that is under threat.
CHARITY PARTNERSHIP
As well as making eco-safe sun lotions Green People has been supporting The Marine Conservation Society since 2011, donating 30p from the sale of every one of their full sized marine-friendly sun lotions to this worthy cause. The Marine Conservation Society is a UK charity which protects our seas, shores and wildlife.
