Inside The Deveaux Fall Winter womenswear collection
The Deveaux Fall Winter womenswear collection is a continuation of the evolving essential wardrobe, staying true to the brands DNA of understated and minimalist whilst exploring new silhouettes and textures for the season ahead.
Hightailing in the opposite direction of the latest It trend and inspired by the spirit of a woman traveller, the latest collection is a modern and relevant take on the fearless nomadic frontier woman.
With pioneer-woman shapes, simple fabrications and a solid colour palette of neutrals and deep jewel tones the clothing prioritises practicality and everyday style.
The duality of tough and feminine is a clear inspiration throughout the collection, pants are overlayed with skirts, longer romantic silhouettes are detailed with pintucks and oversized masculine coats cinched at the waist, almost corseted.
“At this point, is there anything society doesn’t lean on a woman for? That’s why I think this idea of a female frontierswoman is so interesting. It is this idea that even when we are doing so much, always on the go, expected to do everything– we are still balancing the masculine with the feminine – the long skirts, boots, men’s outerwear, a shawl sweater.”

A cotton prairie dress is elevated with pleat work at the waist and shoulders as well as a cotton tuxedo shirt with similar pleating details and exaggerated volumes is styled with smart cropped pants. Poly plissé is used for a strappy slip dress and a camisole and midi-skirt set; the aesthetic of tulle from a distance, but made from sturdier stuff.
No fuss, all business, still elegant.
