Ice T-fronted Body Count heading to Manchester next month
Renowned Ice-T-fronted metal band Body Count will be heading to the UK this June/July for a three-date summer tour, with support from special guests Slope.
Kicking off at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on 30 June 2024, the tour will also see stops at Manchester’s O2 Ritz (1 July) and Glasgow’s Galvanizers SWG3 (2 July).
Formed in Los Angeles in 1990, the inimitable Body Count are fronted by Ice-T, who first established himself as a rapper, before forming the group with lead guitarist Ernie C thanks to their shared interest in metal music.
The group shared their unparalleled self-titled debut album in 1992, and have since released six studio albums, performed on festival stages across the globe, toured the world multiple times over and won a GRAMMY Award for ‘Best Metal Performance’. The band are also expected to release their seventh record Merciless later this year.
The forthcoming tour is part of a broader European live run, which will include performances at renowned rock festivals across the continent including Germany’s Rock im Park and Rock am Ring, France’s Hellfest and Rock For People in the Czech Republic.
Body Count will also be joined by German funk-metallers Slope. Harnessing a pure and honest hardcore-punk attitude with a distinct party spirit, the band have pioneered their own distinct take on metal and released their second studio album ‘Freak Dreams’ earlier this year.
With tickets for Body Count’s Manchester performance now sold out, remaining tickets for London and Glasgow are available here.
