Hydes welcomes customers to a summer of al fresco dining, drinking and entertainment in its beer gardens across the North West and North Wales
Hydes is inviting customers to make the most of summer 2025 across its pub estate, as beer gardens, terraces and patios are set to come alive with food, drink and entertainment.
The Salford-based brewer and pub retailer has ensured its venues are ready to offer the ultimate al fresco experience this summer, with an exciting line-up of seasonal events and gatherings across the region.
With everything from family fun days, live music festivals, garden parties and outdoor dining under Nordic-inspired tipis, Hydes pubs are preparing to host communities and visitors in welcoming outdoor spaces designed for socialising, relaxing and enjoying the warm weather. From bustling city locations to scenic countryside settings, the Hydes estate offers something for everyone this summer.
The packed events schedule is already underway. Popular venues like The Joshua Bradley and its dedicated wedding venue The Bluebell in Stockport and The Jolly Thresher in Lymm are preparing to host their own unique garden parties, each featuring fresh seasonal food, refreshing drinks and entertainment for all ages. On 26th July, The Stamford Bridge near Chester will welcome guests for the Stamford Summer Live Garden Party, with live music, family-friendly activities and a full summer menu in its spacious beer garden. Meanwhile, the pub’s retractable roof provides a perfect backup plan should the famously unpredictable British weather make an appearance.
The Golden Lion in Rossett is once again preparing to host its flagship event, the 7th edition of Live at the Lion, over the August Bank Holiday weekend from 22nd to 25th August. This spectacular summer festival features live performances across multiple stages, a variety of summer drinks, and street food-style dining — all set in the pub’s popular garden setting featuring a Nordic-style tipi, making it one of the biggest annual highlights in the Hydes summer event calendar.
Hydes is also bringing the celebrations to its car parks this August with a series of family-focused community events. The Quarrybank in Timperley, Horse & Farrier in Gatley and The Old Plough in Sale will each host a “Party in the Car Park” in August, combining food stalls, games, drinks and live entertainment in an informal and family-friendly setting.
Hydes’ commitment to creating exceptional outdoor experiences has helped its pubs thrive during the summer months. From tiered beer gardens with stunning views over rivers and valleys to urban terraces fitted with heaters and shelters for all-season enjoyment, the investment in these spaces is helping to redefine what customers can expect from a great pub experience.
Managing Director of Hydes, Adam Mayers, commented: “Summer is one of the most important times of year for our pubs, and we’ve created a programme of events and experiences that make the most of our fantastic outdoor spaces. Whether it’s soaking up the sun with a cold pint, enjoying a bite to eat with friends and family, or spending an afternoon at one of our vibrant garden festivals, we want our pubs to be the go-to summer destination for communities across the North West and North Wales.”
“We’ve made it our mission to ensure our customers have memorable visits and want to return again and again. That’s why we continue to support our pubs with everything they need to provide outstanding outdoor hospitality from high-quality furniture and facilities to the exciting events and entertainment that bring people together.”
