Host, the UK residential operations platform, has appointed Stewart Moore as Chief Executive Officer, strengthening the business’s leadership as it accelerates growth across build‑to‑rent, co‑living and wider living sectors.

Moore brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience across the UK and European living sectors, with a track record of building, scaling and repositioning operational platforms on behalf of developers, investors and institutional owners.

Over the course of his career, he has worked across PBSA, build‑to‑rent, single‑family and multifamily living, consistently delivering growth through operational excellence, brand repositioning and asset performance. Notably, Stewart played a central role in scaling CRM Students into one of Europe’s largest student accommodation operators, growing to over 26,000 beds before its purchase by an institutional investor.

More recently, Stewart was a member of the executive team at Retirement Villages Group, with, before consulting across the operational real estate spectrum. His experience spans start‑ups, scale‑ups and mature platforms, giving him a rare end‑to‑end understanding of the life cycle of residential assets.

At Host, Moore will focus on expanding the platform’s footprint in multi-family homes and co‑living, working with developers and owners seeking a hands‑on, commercially driven operating partner. The business is actively targeting mid‑scale and emerging schemes, alongside larger portfolios, and is open to new management mandates across PBSA, co‑living, multifamily and single‑family rental.

“Host has been built around the needs of owners and developers who want an operator that genuinely understands the details of running residential assets,” said Moore. “The living sector continues to grow well beyond traditional purpose-built student housing, and there is a significant opportunity in co‑living and multi and single family homes for platforms that can bring operational rigour, brand clarity and real on‑the‑ground experience. We are very much open for business.”

The appointment reflects Host’s strategic shift towards a diversified living platform, ensuring the business is not reliant on any single sub‑sector and is positioned to support investors, asset managers and owners through changing market conditions. While student accommodation remains a key element of the platform, Host is leading the charge into the next generation of professionally managed residential living.

Host’s growing presence in the co-living sector has already been demonstrated through the successful launch and stabilisation of Guildford Plaza in 2025, its first co-living scheme delivered under the Habito brand. The development stabilised quickly, demonstrating strong demand for high-quality, professionally managed shared living environments and reinforcing Host’s confidence in the sector as a key area for future growth. The scheme’s success has been underpinned by its extensive, high-quality amenities, including a fully equipped gym, co-working spaces, a coffee bar and a cinema room, which have helped create a vibrant and highly attractive resident experience.

Host works with developers, investors and owners from early‑stage developments through to stabilised assets, providing operational set‑up, lease, and long‑term management services across the UK.
