HOMELESS CHARITY WELCOMES DONATION FROM AMAZON

A homelessness support charity based in Manchester has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre on Airport City.

The donation was made to Coffee4Craig, which provides provisions like home-cooked meals, access to a medical help and shower facilities to homeless or displaced people in Manchester.

This donation will go towards purchasing food and fresh ingredients for its drop service to enable the charity to make meals for its guests.

Speaking on the donation, Ian Jackson, General Manager at Amazon in Manchester, said:

“We are pleased to support for Coffee4Craig once again with a donation. We hope this boost will help the team further enhance their important efforts in the Manchester area.”

Risha Lancaster, co-founder of Coffee4Craig added:

“Thank you to the Amazon team for their amazing support and recognition of our work once again. Amazon has been a great support to us from donating essential items and funding to the time spent volunteering at our building by their amazing staff. This donation will be a great help to maintaining a comfortable and safe space for those in need in our community.”

Coffee4Craig received the donation as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities in and around its operating locations across the UK.

The company provides students with online STEM courses and has teamed up with charity partner Magic Breakfast to deliver more than six million healthy breakfasts to children at risk of hunger in disadvantaged areas across the UK.
