GB News launches new shows
GB News presenter Patrick Christys is to host the channel’s 9pm prime time programme, Patrick Christys Tonight, from tonight (Monday) until further notice.
Patrick has hosted the channel’s afternoon show from 3-6pm since August 2022.
Since joining GB News two years ago, Patrick has been passionate in highlighting issues close to viewers’ hearts, such as the ULEZ expansion, illegal immigration, and homeless veterans.
He campaigned for criminals such as killer nurse Lucy Letby to face victim’s families at sentencing hearings and was the prominent face of the hugely successful Don’t Kill Cash campaign.
Patrick has raised more than £300,000 for the Royal British Legion’s poppy appeal and the mental health charity Mind by raising awareness of the charities during his show.
Head of Programming Ben Briscoe said: “Patrick is the ultimate people’s champion for The People’s Channel. He’s authentic, entertaining, relatable, and a sharp journalist who can hold any interviewee to account.”
The channel also announced the launch of a new Friday night show, Friday Night Live, hosted by Mark Dolan alongside his existing Saturday and Sunday night show, Mark Dolan Tonight. The new programme starts this week.
GB News will also launch Good Afternoon Britain next Monday.
Hosted by Tom Harwood and Emily Carver, it will be the first programme broadcast from the channel’s new studio complex in Westminster when it opens in early December.
