Garden Furniture Shortage: Price Hikes Of Up to 137% According to Data!
Due to the recent news of garden furniture and outdoor toys shortages expected over the summer, many shoppers are turning to Amazon to furnish and upgrade their gardens.
The home insurance experts at money.co.uk were intrigued to investigate if prices on Amazon have increased due to an influx of sales and higher product demand.
To do this, money.co.uk compiled a list of Amazon’s best-selling garden products from 10 of the most popular categories. The top 10 products from each garden furniture category were then input into Keepa’s Amazon Price Tracker to see which product saw the biggest increase in price over the last 12 months.

Out of the top 10 products analysed, the Deyard Parasol Cover saw the biggest increase in price over this time with its lowest being reported at £2, and now being sold for £15.99 – an increase of 700%.
In second place are hammocks, with an average price increase of 68%. The Anyoo Outdoor Cotton Fabric Hammock saw the biggest price increase of the products analysed, increasing by 218%.
Parasols have seen the third largest increase in price, with a total average increase of 64%.
In fourth place are sun loungers with a 51% average price increase and in fifth place are garden tables, increasing in price by 47% in the past 12 months.
Rounding off the top 10 are porch swings, with an average increase in price of 12%. The SORARA Swing Chair 2-Seater has seen the biggest increase (48%) with its lowest recorded price being £229.90, and its current price now being £339.90.
