Directed by long-time collaborator Jamie Harley, the new music video explores a balance of breathtaking cinematic moments and ascendant vierge’s adventurous creativity. Harley has already worked closely with artists such as Koudlam and Flavien Berger, always adding immersive and detailed touches. In this sparklingly energetic track with multiple references, ascendant vierge conjures up a UK-flavored breakbeat/big beat reminiscent at times of Fatboy Slim.

Une Nouvelle Chance has fast become an iconic album for the new generation of rave and a statement against outdated genre conventions. The duo has developed a unique blend of lyrical trance-pop club anthems on tracks like ‘À L’Infini’ mixed by the London based producer Geoff Swan (YUNGBLUD, Charli XCX, MØ). Likewise, their internet sensation track “Influenceur”, became a party anthem in the biggest techno clubs and racked up 10M+ streams and counting.

Quickly after the album release, the experimental electronic music band spread their genre-defying sound and future rave aesthetic across European shows including Melt Festival, Dour Festival, Berghain and Village Underground to name only a few.

ascendant vierge was born in 2019 from the musical encounter between one of Paris’ finest hardcore music producers, Paul Seul (Casual Gabberz), and the lyrical goth-pop singer, Mathilde Fernandez. A handful of self-produced tracks combining baroque and lyrical pop vocals with hard techno, trance or Eurodance productions was enough to catch the attention of fans and critics.

This global excitement allowed the duo to significantly increase their reach leading to an ambitious first international tour. If the band took advantage of the global pandemic glitch and its temporal distortion to find its audience, the fervour of the reopening propelled them from digital virality to live phenomenon, shining throughout Europe and beyond.
