BURSTING WITH FLAVOUR!!

The Cotswold Show boasts culinary excellence at this year’s cookery theatre.

From master chef finalist who has cooked for the queen, to sustainable street food artistry, the 2022 cookery theatre is bursting with flavours from all over the continents.

If you are a kitchen dabbler, cocktail enthusiast or a full-blown foodie, there is something for everyone to enjoy in the cookery theatre tent. Take home tips and tricks from select chefs and mixologists from the Cotswolds and beyond.

The tent this year will be Chef Andrew Kojima, (better known as Koj) who is a British-Japanese chef, Master Chef finalist, teacher and author based in the Cotswolds, who has cooked for the Queen, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Eddie Redmayne and many other celebrities. His restaurant won awards and critical acclaimed, with its pioneering approach to Japanese dining.

For fans of sustainability and experimenting in the kitchen, Tom Bannister from Tommy’s Streat Kitchen will be right up your ally. Showcasing his talent for taking carefully sourced and seasonal ingredients to bring you dishes from around the globe, maintaining affordability without compromising on flavour.

Anyone who is a complete beginner, we have you covered, Annabel from Cirencester’s very own Old Bake House, specialises in making cooking approachable for all. With over 20 years’ culinary experience under her apron Annabel is eager to help you overcome any cooking fears you may have, so you can create nutritious recipes which you can hand down from generation to generation.

Anyone who is a sucker for a tipple will be pleasantly surprised. We have the pleasure to announce Bucks Brothers Gin will be displaying their exceptionally tasty spirits and displaying their mixology skills. Max, Jake and Gus are three brothers who are taking the Gin world by storm one sip at a time. Boasting coverage in VOGUE and GQ, these brothers know at thing or two about how to mix the perfect drink.

If you’re wanting local, it doesn’t get much closer than Deer Box. Venison sourced directly from the Bathurst estate, the grounds for The Cotswold Show, will be prepared right before your very eyes! Ben is an expert when it comes to the preparation and cooking of venison, giving you the best tricks along the way to help flavours explode and impress.

Showcasing how switching out meat for plant based, whilst using the same seasoning and accompaniments, can elevate the flavours within the dish and cans satisfy even the most carnivorous of palates. Head chef of the Lygon Arms, Ales Maurer, will be providing this spectacle following the ethos of, ‘A Celebration of all things Cotswolds’ in which 80% of ingredients are sourced from local artisans within a 60-mile radius. You do not want to miss this culinary cook off!
