Nigel Farage has said he understands Angela Rayner was due to go into the ‘I’m a celebrity’ jungle but withdrew at the last minute.

Speaking on GB News Nigel Farage said:
“We have, I think, a proper Labour civil war.

Keir Starmer’s position is now more perilous than it’s been at any point, and I have a feeling that things are beginning to spiral out of control quite quickly.

“Clive Lewis is prepared to stand down in, well, I say relatively safe Labour seat – what is these days?

“But he’s prepared to stand aside, cause a by election to let Andy Burnham in. And Angela Rayner is on manoeuvres now. She was on the verge, I understand, of going into, ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here’, which, of course, is a topic about which I know very much, having been there two years ago.

“At the last minute, she has withdrawn. I wonder why? I wonder whether she thinks this could all spiral out of control very, very quickly indeed.

“None of us know. I just have, and by the way, I wouldn’t put it above 35%, but I just begin to feel that there’s no love for this leader. There’s no support for this leader. There’s no following for this leader, and that’s within the parliamentary Labour Party, let alone his own net minus 51% ratings in the country.

“And if the budget was to land very, very badly in seven days’ time, well, things could happen, in my view, more quickly than we think.”
