Ethical Jewellery Retailer Lily Arkwright Designs Lionesses World Cup Winners Ring
As the Lionesses have taken to the pitch once again with hopes of bringing football home for the second consecutive year with a momentous world cup win; ethical jewellery brand Lily Arkwright, has taken to the drawing board in support and celebration of women’s football.
In the spirit of the world cup, Lily Arkwright has designed a completely bespoke ring featuring sustainably sourced lab grown diamonds, sapphires and aqua spinels.
This one off design has taken inspiration from the women’s away kit. Using the deep blues of lab grown sapphires and the lighter blue colours of an aqua spinel, the centre of this design pulls inspiration from the iconic colours of the football kit.
Using trillion cut diamonds and asscher cut sapphires and aqua spinels the innovative brand has drawn inspiration from the dynamic lines and triangles seen on the away kit to give a subtle nod to the lionesses.
You might be wondering what fine jewellery has to do with football? Lily Arkwright strongly believes in celebrating progression; be it in their own industry, through their use of environmentally innovative and morally accountable lab grown diamonds and gemstones or in the world around them, including the amazing popularity of womens football.
Kate Munns, operations manager commented “as a team predominantly made up of incredible, talented women, we understand the importance of championing women’s achievements. Women’s football is finally beginning to get the recognition it deserves against all the odds stacked against them, and we are right behind the Lionesses”.
Last year Lily Arkwright gave their staff a day off to watch the women win the Euros and bring back England’s first title since 1966, and this year they have taken their celebrations one step further by designing a bespoke ring to mark the momentous occasion!
