ECOFLEET LAUNCHES NEW CONSULTATION SERVICE ADVISING BUSINESSES TO BECOME MORE GREEN
Sustainable mobility service ecofleet is today launching an awareness campaign to inspire consumers to expect eco-friendly methods of last- mile delivery from retailers. With over 4 million parcels delivered each day in London alone, pollution levels in the city are at an all time high with a 71% increase in van traffic over the last 20 years.
Today (Tuesday 22nd September) is ‘Car Free Day’, with people across the UK looking for more sustainable mobility and delivery solutions. The new awareness campaign from ecofleet has been developed to educate consumers on alternatives to heavily polluting diesel and petrol delivery vans, positioning e-cargo bikes as a simple, harmless solution.
The campaign is fronted by an informative, educational animation examining the impacts of delivery vans in comparison to carbon neutral cargo bikes. Founded by CEO Farah Asemi in 2019, ecofleet is made up of over 20 electric bikes and 14 full time members of staff.
Speaking on the new campaign, founder Farah Asemi comments:
“We are living in a world where increasingly people care about where their deliveries are coming from. We are so used to next day deliveries and last minute shopping, and every order comes with an impact on our environment. Our e-cargo bikes are carbon neutral and have a range of 127 miles, perfect for getting goods across the city. We hope that we can inspire consumers to come to expect their favourite shops and retailers to go green and choose a delivery solution that is healthy for our planet”.
This campaign launch comes as ecofleet continues to offer businesses of all sizes expert advice and counsel on the benefits of choosing a sustainable delivery solution. Businesses are able to speak with the eco fleet team directly to learn more about how e-cargo bikes can suit their logistical delivery needs.
