DAISY HARRIS announces latest project – the EP “FISH TANK

Her ability to tell stories across many different mediums displays her multifaceted talents allowing
her to feel connected to other people. The miscellany of vocals, piano and guitar showcases Daisy’s
organic musical alchemy… Her soft indie-pop approach to music amplifies her persona, in turn
strengthening her sense of empathy.’ – The Indiependent

‘Daisy Harris is brimming with imagination’ – The Mancunion

‘Beguiling… Harris’s cooing making you feel like this is a place you can settle.’ – SNACK Magazine

‘Harris’s vocals are soft and heartfelt but there is an underlying depth to her voice which gives her
delivery a distinct tone.’ – Discovery Music Scotland

Creating her own unique flavour of genre-fluid music Daisy Harris takes inspiration from the likes of Mazzy Star and The Lemonheads to cement her brand of indie-pop guitar music. Her impressive musicianship shines through with her multi-instrumental ability and wonderfully translates into transcendental and heartfelt music.

Harris (vocals/ guitar/ banjo/ ukulele) has already worked the showcase circuit across Glasgow and with total self-sufficiency when it comes to recording and mixing and has been dominating the Manchester music scene with live shows.

To add to her already fantastic discography, Harris has announced the release of her latest project – the EP ‘Fish Tank’. Harking back to the early 2000’s and taking inspiration from girl-power icons such as Michelle Branch and Imogen Heap, Daisy uses her own memories of growing up in the noughties to produce an EP that sits as the bolder, poppier older sister to 2022’s ‘Forest Girl Rock’. Propelled into creativity by the Frutiger Aero Aesthetic, Harris’ EP screams colourful pop and departs from her usual acoustic stylings.

Speaking on the upcoming release, Harris notes “Making Fish Tank has got me out of a creative slump and made me so excited to make more music. It’s brought home for me how much more there is for me to explore – the possibilities are endless, and this EP showcases just a few of them!”

Harris preceded the EP with the release of the first track ‘Your Girlfriend’. With this number. Harris moved away from her usual 90’s-tinged sound and took a jab at channelling her favourite artists of the 2000’s to deliver a fiery pop-fuelled cut about hating your friend’s boyfriend. Sitting firmly in the same narrative vein as Avril Lavigne’s ‘Girlfriend’, Harris pays tribute to the female driven pop she grew up with: B*witched and Hilary Duff. Set to be released during pride month, Harris notes “I’m so excited to release this song during Pride Month -it’s definitely a song of the summer for queer girls!”.

Comprised of five tracks, and a hidden live gem that forges the bridge between ‘Forest Girl Rock’ and ‘Fish Tank’, the new EP stands as Harris’ most vulnerable, and personal release to date.

Moving through the preppy pop of ‘Your Girlfriend’, to the folksy Twilight-esque emotive lyricism of ‘Backwoods’ and rounding off with the experimental cocky-pop come ambient soundscapes of ‘EGODEATH’, ‘Fish Tank’ takes a pit-stop tour of multiple genres, in the most natural and refreshing way.

‘Fish Tank’ is out July 14th.
