Cycle SOS, the leading legal firm for cycle accident claims that was recently bought by Fletchers Solicitors, has been named as the exclusive legal partner of Cycling UK.

The partnership means that Cycling UK’s 70,000 members will be legally supported by the experts at Cycle SOS from July 1. This is the first time in 20 years that Cycling UK has changed the provider of their legal services.

Cycle SOS has been providing dedicated legal support to cyclists for the last 20 years. Under the direction of founder, solicitor and passionate cyclist Paul Darlington, the brand has offered a bespoke service to hundreds of cyclists every year. The firm has recently been acquired by Fletchers Solicitors, who over the last 30 years have represented tens of thousands of motorcyclists following road traffic accidents.

Wealth of experience with cycle claims

This unique wealth of experience helps Cycle SOS to understand how to properly represent groups such as the members of Cycling UK; speaking their language, knowing their world, sharing their passion.

Summer of Cycling

The news of this partnership coincides with Cycle SOS announcing an exclusive sponsorship of ITV’s ‘Summer of Cycling’. The sponsorship deal means that Cycle SOS will sponsor all the channel’s cycling related programmes, including the coverage of this year’s Tour de France, the biggest cycling race in the world.

This is only the second time that a legal brand has sponsored an ITV show. The previous time was between 2015 and 2020 when Patient Claim Line, the UK’s highest rated medical negligence specialists, sponsored Judge Rinder. Both Cycle SOS and Patient Claim Line are brands owned and operated by Fletchers Solicitors.

Fletchers Solicitors acquired Cycle SOS in May, taking on the brand and the firm’s entire personal injury book. Cycle SOS was Fletchers’ first acquisition since being acquired by private equity firm, Sun Capital, in October last year.
