Leading self-storage specialist, Cuboid Self Storage, has made more huge steps towards its target of 50 live sites by the end of 2026, with its acquisition of Safe Self Storage in Blackburn.
The purchase of Safe Self Storage marks a significant investment in Cuboid’s growth, acquiring both the freehold purchase and operational business, which is home to more than 250 self storage containers and a thriving customer base.
Cuboid looks primed for a very strong end to 2026, with the completion of its 44th storage site in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex – with a further four in progress in Batley, Birkenhead, Camborne and Tamworth.
Within its existing landholdings in partnership with FI Property Group, Cuboid has the capacity for over 7,000 self storage containers across more than 50 acres of land specifically dedicated and earmarked for external self storage.
Tim Knowles, Founder and Managing Director of FI Property Group, said: “Cuboid Self Storage’s growth since its inception less than four years ago has been nothing short of incredible. We are so passionate about what the external self storage industry is doing, providing a wonderful storage option for both domestic and commercial customers up and down the country.
“Cuboid is the largest self-storage container business in the UK by capacity, and we aren’t slowing down. The acquisition of Safe Self Storage allows us to onboard an already existing business into the Cuboid way of working, and we are excited for what’s to come. We have huge ambitions, hundreds of locations and tens of thousands of containers. We believe in the model so much that we are investing significantly across this platform.”
