Cube Homes expands team with new appointments
Manchester’s Cube Homes has strengthened and expanded its team with the appointment of two new recruits – Nick Emery and Jamie Chitticks.
Nick has taken on the role of Assistant Project Manager while Jamie is Apprentice Development Project Manager with the developer which is preparing for a busy year ahead with the launch of Hawthorn Grange in Lymm in Cheshire in April, and new sites coming on stream later in the year.
Cube Managing Director Christopher Heath said: “Getting the right people in place for this crucial time in the growth of the business has been vitally important to us and it’s great to have attracted two such outstanding new recruits who have already made a big impression on us.
“It’s an exciting time to have them on board just as we are about to launch Hawthorn Grange. 2023 is going to be a big year for the business with work expected to start in Oldham and Woodley in Stockport and a number of sites in the planning process.”
Cube, which is part of the Great Places Group, was founded in 2007 and last year and has developments across the North West, along with a growing rental portfolio including The Curve in Levenshulme in Manchester. As the private sector arm of the Great Places Housing Group, which provides affordable social housing across the region, all profits generated by Cube Homes are reinvested to help projects across Great Places’ communities.
Nick, from Cheadle in Stockport, joins from Pilot Group where he spent the last eight years managing electrical projects and contractors across the UK. He first developed a passion for housebuilding while completing small renovation projects on his own home.
He said: “The Cube team have worked very hard to develop beautiful homes and deliver excellent customer support over the years. I am extremely happy to join the team and work with the whole of the Great Places Group where fairness and equality are a massive part of the culture.”
Meanwhile Jamie, who lives in Salford but is originally from Essex, started his career as a carpenter before becoming a Project Manager with XS Construction. He said: “The thing that stood out for me with Cube was how different their houses look – they really stand out from other housebuilders and the craftsmanship is outstanding. I am really enjoying getting stuck into my first project working with sculptor David Tragen at Watermill Gardens in Prestwich and excited to see building work at Hawthorn Grange continue to progress.”
