Crown Foundation charity trustees appointed to build on 10 year fundraising success
A hospitality and catering group has appointed four new trustees to build on its 10 year fundraising success.
Candice Marnell, Gareth Wilson, Nicky Pratt and Jackie Harding have been appointed as trustees of Crown Partnership’s registered charity, Crown Foundation.
Tasked with continuing the Foundation’s £500,000 fundraising success, the newly appointed team are busy planning a number of exciting events to raise funds for their chosen charities, Macmillan Cancer Support and Mind in the year ahead.
Crown Partnership is the umbrella for a portfolio of events, hospitality and catering providers, committed to environmental sustainability with an emphasis on innovation and an appetite for success.
Headquartered in Essex, with sites across London but working nationally, the pioneering collaboration works by devolving autonomy to its component parts to foster entrepreneurship, while providing access to centralised functions and support.
Senior Partner Charles Beer said: “We very much welcome the new team of trustees and look forward to the events and activities they have planned.
“The Foundation was set up to create a fun and engaging platform for team members to get involved in organised fundraising activities, or to arrange fun or challenging fundraising ideas of their own.
“In its 10-year history, whether through donations from Partnership companies or team fundraising activities of their own, so far we have raised £500,000 for charity and we look forward to building on the tremendous efforts of all those involved so far.”
New trustee Nicky Pratt has already committed to a sky dive to raise funds for the Foundation next spring and all staff have been encouraged to come up with their own fundraising ideas and will be given time off to complete them, if necessary.
Charles added: “If it raises money for these two amazing charities, then no idea is too small.
“Activities can be arranged with work colleagues, such as the famous Macmillan coffee mornings or once in a lifetime challenge like Nicky’s. We are really encouraging our staff and Partners to take time to think about how they and their fellow team members can raise funds and we hope everyone will get behind them in their efforts to do so.”
