Cointreau brings the festive cheer to the heart of Covent Garden in partnership with Balthazar
This winter, Cointreau is bringing a touch of Christmas to the heart of Covent Garden. Partnering with the renowned French brasserie Balthazar to host a limited edition cocktail menu and delicious Cointreau-infused dessert.
Balthazar will encapsulate stories of Le Fête des Oranges by transforming the all-day dining brasserie into an epicentre of vibrant colour and festive cheer in the run-up to the Christmas period. Launching on Wednesday, 8 November, the restaurant will be celebrating the most magical time of year with a fanciful installation, delectable cocktails and a limited-edition dessert created in partnership with French orange liqueur Cointreau, all of which will be available until the new year.
Upon arrival, guests will be met by orange and golden wreaths and brightly coloured orchards surrounding the restaurant façade. The smells of joyful wintertime will lead guests into the restaurant, where they can enjoy delectable festive dishes and drinks. Orange and golden hues are set to be weaved into the restaurant interior with Christmas trees decorated in miniature Cointreau bottles and further wreaths placed around the restaurant, creating a warm atmosphere for those dining in.
A menu of limited-edition cocktails created in partnership with the famed orange liqueur Cointreau will be available to sip and savour. Tipple highlights include Festive Mai Tai (£12.75) served with Cointreau, White Rum, Dark Rum, Mandorla, Lime Juice and Orange Bitters, Snow White Lady (£14.75) featuring Cointreau, Sloe Gin, Grapefruit Juice and Miraculous Foamer, Christmas Margarita (£13.50) a blend of Cointreau, Tequila Blanco, Gingerbread Liqueur and Lime Juice, but not least, the Cinnamon Sidecar (£15.25) created from Cointreau, Cognac and Lemon juice, the perfect concoction to toast the festivities.
Those with a sweet tooth can order the Cointreau Baba (£10.25), which is made with Clementines, Glazed Pecans, Chantilly Cream and Warm Cointreau Chocolate Sauce, it is the ultimate Christmas indulgence.
Guests will also be able to enjoy classic dishes from the new Winter a La Carte menu, such as Buffalo Mozzarella, Endive and Roquefort, Roasted Rump of Lamb, Baked Cod Fillet, Risotto of Wild Mushrooms (£18.95) with goat cheese, chestnut crumb and truffle oil is the perfect warming dish.
