With just shy of one million followers online, her Instagram account, @stylenecessity, is the next big name you need to follow for everything beauty, fashion and lifestyle.

The lifestyle blogger started her fashion career three years ago as a stylist for influencers, working with the likes of Fashion Pirate, Christen Dominique and Lili Mitrovic. Now she finds herself in their shoes.

She said: “I have always had an interest in fashion; as a student I helped out fellow photography students by modelling for shoots. Friends and colleagues often complimented me on my clothes and fashion style.

“This inspired me to work as a personal shopper. I styled influencers for about a year, deploying my team of stylists and working with fashion houses to prepare influencers’ outfits for New York Fashion Week and events in Dubai via my styling agency, @theluxuriantstyle.

“That was when I started seeing the benefits influencing provided. As an influencer, you are awarded with a platform to showcase your passion and unique style. It allows you to connect with people around the world who share the same passion and interest.”

Whilst many big name influencers call Instagram their full time job, Mosope still works in finance as a corporate governance professional,

“When attending board meetings, working with Executive Directors and CEO’s changes your outlook on life. Their work ethic is very aspirational to me; it motivates me to keep working hard and aiming for greater success.”

Focusing on luxury lifestyle, Mosope said there is a lack of representation of black influencers in the industry, something she would like to change.

“I have observed that it is the same few selected influencers working with the big brands, whilst there are a number of other influencers out there who do not have the same opportunities”, she said.

Regardless of her success, Mosope has worked consistently to get to the top of her game through hard work and determination,

“One of the biggest challenges I have faced is juggling my job in the corporate world with my role as an influencer.

“I start working on my Instagram after I log off my laptop from my corporate role, often working late into the night. With most weekends being taken up with photoshoots, time is a precious commodity.

“My life in the corporate world has taught me to be resilient and keep going, regardless of any disappointments.

“Setbacks are a learning opportunity. The trick is to focus on the bigger picture and what matters most: keeping an eye on the prize.”
