BRISTON MARONEY in Manchester on November 3rd at Gorilla

Acclaimed Nashville-based artist – BRISTON MARONEY – will release his awaited new album ‘Ultrapure’ on 22 September 2023, ahead of a UK headline tour this November.

His latest single “Sunshine” is available to stream now, alongside a stunning acoustic performance video.

Latest track “Sunshine” follows the two-sided single release “Detonator” / “The Idea”, lead single “Body” which debuted in May via Apple Music’s New Music Daily with Zane Lowe and “Sunburn Fades”, which was hailed by Consequence as “an example of the minimalist, home-spun sound the artist is continuing to craft.”

Produced by two-time Grammy-winner Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves) and engineered by Konrad Snyder (Noah Kahan, Rainbow Kitten Surprise) Briston Maroney’s new album ‘Ultrapure’ was crafted in his adopted hometown of Nashville, Tennessee and showcases the artist playing every single instrument himself.

Of the album’s genesis, Maroney shares:

“My favourite moments in the human experience are ones that you don’t even realise have started, but you feel so deeply when you realise they’ve ended. I refer to these as ‘ultrapure’ moments. The album was my humble, unqualified and earnest-as-hell attempt at sitting in those feelings until they had no choice but to burst out of my head. These songs are about a type of pain I hate and love, but mostly have a deep appreciation for.”

Later this year Maroney will also embark on a UK headline tour in support of the new record. Kicking off in Brighton on 31 October, the live run will see stops in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham and Bristol. Tickets are available now here, and full dates and details can be found below.

Briston Maroney’s debut LP ‘Sunflower’ was released in 2021, following a trio of acclaimed EPs: ‘Miracle’, ‘Indiana’ and ‘Carnival’ — the latter of which spurned the Platinum-certified single “Freakin’ Out On The Interstate”. His releases have amassed critical acclaim from the likes of NPR, Vulture, NME and many more and Maroney has played sold-out headline tours across the US, Canada, the UK and Europe.

He has also played at festivals across the globe including Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Pitchfork Paris, has opened for the likes of Jack White and Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and collaborated with Manchester Orchestra on 2022’s ‘Sunflower: Deluxe”.
