Brennan Reece Wins Roomzzz ‘Joke of the Festival’ Award at the Creatures Comedy Festival 2025
Manchester comedian Brennan Reece has been crowned the winner of the Roomzzz Joke of the Festival Award 2025 at the Creatures Comedy Festival, following a public vote by Roomzzz staff, guests, and festivalgoers.
Reece’s witty one-liner struck a chord with audiences, earning him 40% of the vote and securing the award along with a prize of five-night stays at a Roomzzz Aparthotel. His winning joke was:
“An online troll recently said I was ‘average’. Which I thought was mean. Or median. I can never remember.”
The shortlist featured five of the funniest gags from across this year’s festival, which is co-produced by Creatures Comedy Club and NOMAD Comedy, including jokes by Lorna Rose Treen, Alex Camp, Metroland, and Raul Kohli. The competition highlighted the unique humour and creativity that made the Creatures Comedy Festival
The Roomzzz Joke of the Festival Award is part of Roomzzz Aparthotels’ ongoing commitment to supporting creativity, culture, and community.

The Creatures Comedy Festival 2025 ran from 15th–26th July in Manchester, showcasing more than 40 shows across two venues—Creatures Comedy Club and Lost Cat. Headliners included Helen Bauer, Larry Dean, Alison Spittle, and Jack Carroll, alongside rising stars such as Dan Tiernan, Vidura Bandara Rajapaksa, and Celya AB.
