Billionaire Peter Done gives staff £3.8m thank you
Global HR and health and safety consultancy, The Peninsula Group, announced today that staff will receive a £3.8m profit share bonus.
Group Managing Director and Founder Peter Done decided to double the amount given to eligible employees this year, after the Group’s companies saw demand for their services soar during the pandemic.
Calls to the Peninsula, BrightHR and Croner hotlines quadrupled as businesses around the world struggled to navigate challenges caused by Covid-19.
Health Assured’s EAP services supported over 15 million lives, seeing a 37% increase in calls to their mental health hotline in the last 12 months alone.
Peter Done says: “It has been a year of achievement through unprecedented times. Peninsula Group companies have helped keep the business world moving during a time of crisis, something that I entirely credit to the hard work of our talented teams.
“The last two years have been a challenge – but that challenge has led us to the position we find ourselves in today. Times are hard for everyone right now, so it is only right that we reward peoples’ efforts and share our success with everyone who worked so hard to get us there.
“It’s been a magnificent effort from everyone. I’m immensely proud of our teams and would like to congratulate and thank them for their hard work.”
Eligible staff will receive their profit share bonus in their April pay cheque.
Peninsula have also doubled their fundraising commitment to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, pledging to raise £2M as part of a three-year partnership. Staff have so far raised more than £1.4m towards this target.
