Sustainable refurbishment company, Better Green Living, has launched its newest Sustainability & Outreach Report and Manifesto as it targets a Net Zero Rated Carbon Footprint by the end of 2026.
The report outlines steps that Better Green Group has taken to improve the environment and support its local communities. With a minimum of 20% of its post-tax profits dedicated to sustainability and community initiatives, the business continues to strive towards Net Zero.
Over the year, partnerships have included its continued work with Kings College London’s Community Support Day, in collaboration with ShowerBox, providing meals, haircuts, and shower caps for those experiencing homelessness. Better Green has also been a sponsor of Homes Start since 2023, by supporting struggling families with children through fundraising strategy sessions and event assistance. The company also donated £750 towards Ben’s Run initiative, a 630 mile run along the South West coast path in support of Macmillan Cancer.
The business celebrated its ongoing collaboration with the New Horizon Youth Centre by providing funding to support the production of fully bespoke basketball kits and arranging team matches. Its commitment to Youth Trust has seen the business as a supporter since 2023, helping raise over £8,000 for the children’s mental health charity.
Working towards a greener future, Better Green Group have been working with Trees4Trees, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to combating deforestation in Indonesia. In a pledge to plant 16,000 by 2027, the team has successfully planted 12,500 so far from the support of its client, by restoring ecosystems through the company’s retrofitting works.
In conjunction with Bristol-based Ecologi, Better Green Group’s implemented policies also prioritise circular economy practices and zero waste targets across its projects, which helps support the conservation of UK wetlands.
Deborah Parsons, Group CEO and Sustainability and Outreach Director at Better Green Living, said: “As we release another successful Manifesto and Sustainability Report, it reinforces our strong commitment to achieving Net Zero. Sustainability is the future, and we are extremely proud of the results we have delivered by supporting fundamental charities while making a positive impact on the environment.
