Bath Bombs Comedy Club lands at Victoria Baths

Bath Bombs Comedy Club is presenting a night of live comedy at Victoria Baths on Wednesday 25 August featuring some incredible acts from the international circuit. Taking to the Gala pool will be Seann Walsh, Fern Brady and Felicity Ward in a night held together by Manchester’s very own James Meehan.

Doors to the iconic venue will open at 7pm, with the bar in the Sports Hall serving beers, wines, soft drinks and more. The gig will take place in the adjacent Gala pool; with seating available both in the empty pool and on the original gala seating that overlooks the space. It’s a magnificent backdrop and a Victoria Baths first for the venue to be used in this way.

Making this a night to remember is a line-up of four stand-out stand-up performers. Seann Walsh, described by The Guardian as ‘the best observational comedian of his generation’ and whose endless TV appearances also include acting roles. Bringing her fearless, caustic wit is one of the UK’s hottest comedy stars, Fern Brady. The award-winning Felicity Ward will be striking a chord with writing that’s achieved enormous international success. Finally joining them as the host of Bath Bombs Comedy Club is James Meehan, who has travelled the world with his stand-up as well as appearing on multiple TV and Radio shows.

James Meehan, founder of Bath Bombs Comedy Club, says, “Manchester is the best city in the UK for stand-up comedy. There is a wealth of comedic talent here and there are gigs to suit every taste. The idea behind Bath Bombs Comedy Club is to add something to the mix that offers a full line-up of top TV talent at an affordable price. The opportunity to work with the fine folk at Victoria Baths brought that extra something special. So here we are. Bath Bombs Comedy Club. An incredible venue, an out of this world line-up, a dedicated bar and all of it for less than a fiver per comic. I can’t wait!”

This is the inaugural Bath Bombs Comedy Club and its hoped that this will become a regular event on the calendar at Victoria Baths. Tickets are £15.00 (plus £1.50 booking fee) and can be booked here: www.wegottickets.com/event/518268 Doors open at 7.00pm (with the bar open throughout), for an 8.00pm start and an expected finish of 10:30pm.
