Barratt Homes brand new development brings £699,000 investment to Cleckheaton
Cleckheaton is set for an investment of £699,000 thanks to Barratt Homes Yorkshire West’s new development which it recently acquired land for.
The new development, which will comprise of one, two, three and four bedroom homes, will include a contribution of over £470,000 to education facilities in the local area, to offer further support to primary and secondary schools to cement Cleckheaton as a wonderful area for growing families.
A further £62,000 has been contributed to the Sustainable Travel Fund through Kirklees Council and £23,000 has been allocated to improve public transport in the local area. A further £20,000 contribution has also been made to deliver new and improved pedestrian and cycle connections.
£72,000 has been allocated to contribute to local open space facilities within the area, such as playing areas and planting, which will be spent at the discretion of the local council.
Barratt Homes Yorkshire West has also committed 24 units to its affordable housing scheme at Cleckheaton, which makes it easier for prospective buyers who couldn’t previously afford to buy to get on the property ladder.
