Amazon donation boosts city’s charities
Three charities based in Manchester have received donations totalling £15,000 from the team at Amazon’s corporate office in the city and the head office in London.
Manchester Camerata, Coffee4Craig and Dimobi Children Disability Trust each received £5,000 following nominations of support from employees at Amazon in Manchester and London. The Amazon Manchester team has previously supported the charities, making donations of £16,500 to Manchester Camerata in 2020 and £5,000 to Coffee4Craig in 2021.
Manchester Camerata is an orchestra working to create positive change throughout the city and beyond. They do this through their sector leading dementia work, their work with schools and young people, and their critically acclaimed live performances. The organisation uses the excellence and craft of their world class musicians which is embedded throughout all their activities.
Coffee4Craig supports people in Manchester experiencing homelessness. The charity offers home-cooked meals, medical assistance, hygiene facilities and advice services to those in need. Coffee4Craig also runs a food bank for families experiencing food poverty.
Dimobi Children Disability Trust supports families with disabled children. The charity offers respite care, counselling and volunteer services to families – showcasing how driven they are to fight and advocate for equality, innovation and change that benefit families of disabled children.

The charities received the donations as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
Amazon is providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic Breakfast and delivering more than five million healthy meals to families in disadvantaged areas across the country.
