Influencer Kerolay Chaves, 21, suffered a blow recently after making a purchase on the internet. Assiduous football spectator, Paris Saint-Germain Football fan and Neymar fan, the young woman decided to acquire a collector’s item. After some searches on the internet, Kerolay found a shirt signed by the star worth $1,500 (R$ 8,000 – Brazilian money). “I’ve been thinking about buying it for a long time, it was my dream to have something tangible that has already been used or at least signed by my favorite player,” she says.

What she didn’t expect was that she was about to fall for yet another internet scam. According to Kerolay, the procedures were carried out correctly and the payment was made before the product was shipped. However, upon seeing the shirt up close, she noticed that the signature was fake. “As soon as I looked, I was in doubt. Asking my friends, part of my family and everyone agreed it wasn’t legit. I didn’t want to believe what was happening, the financial loss was very big and I even saw my dream going downhill,” reports the influencer.

Despite the whole situation, Kerolay decided to change the game and took the initiative to speak directly with the number 10 of the Brazilian football team. The influencer, who has more than 200,000 followers on Instagram, used the app to ask him for an exclusive gift for her. “Send me the shirt and I’ll cover the taxes, Neymar,” joked Kerolay Chaves in a message to the football star, who was recently accused of tax fraud in Spain.
