Bluffing Your Way in Ballet from Seizing the Day company will take you beyond the tutu with our irrepressible dancer diva, Alexandra Pickford and the company of dancers and actors in our popular show. They’ll pirouette on their fast paced and irreverent way, bringing to life the dance stars and trailblazers who influenced Alexandra’s career and life.

You’ll see Isadora Duncan, Nijinsky, Fonteyn and Nureyev and Darcey Bussell.

Never heard of them and love Ballet? Don’t worry, you’ll be in safe hands. Alexandra formerly danced with The Royal Ballet. The mature and talented company will bring to life in an innovative fashion, Ballet’s galaxy of stars and Alexandra’s juicy stories from her long ballet career.

Inspiration dawned and Alexandra wished to tell the story of ballet in a funny and approachable way through dancing and acting and how its history influenced her long career with The Royal Ballet and English National Ballet and more. She formed the company of aging professionals and together they devised, researched, and wrote this engaging show, which performed to sell out audiences in Bristol.

The aim of Seizing The Day Company was to create productions and chances to perform, before it’s too late. Three months later we put on our co-created and well received production, Snapshots. Bluffing Your Way In Ballet is also a communal endeavour. Seizing The Day now includes talented people from 29 years upwards.
