The thought of a team building day might conjure up visions of trust falls, brainstorming sessions and maybe even tug of war. But this is 2022, summer is just around the corner, and after the last two years of seeing each other on Zoom it’s all about the bigger the better when we finally get together.
From kidnapping your boss to driving a tractor backwards– there are no limits on how outrageous an outdoor event can be.

We’ve rounded up some of the most out-there days to bring teams together in person, while serving up a huge dose of fun in the sunshine.

1. BE A CLOWN

Roll up, roll up! What better way to break the ice than slapping on some face paint and fancy dress? Throw in some juggling and walking on stilts at this circus workshop and find out who the class clown really is.

2. TURN INTO DETECTIVES AND SOLVE A CRIME

Ditch the day job and get suited and booted (in gloves and full body suits) to enter a crime scene and figure out who committed a murder. And if you are expecting a life-like game of Cluedo you’d be wrong – this high-tech version uses the best modern forensic kit to catch the culprit.

3. KIDNAP YOUR BOSS

If you’re still holding a grudge about that last-minute project, how about getting your own back? This challenge sees your boss kidnapped and sped away to a top-secret location until you and your peers decipher where they are and rescue them – or not. Revenge is sweet.

4. STORM A CASTLE

Step back in time, grab a shield and storm a historic castle. Dressing up is optional but why not try medieval or even something your whole team is into – Dungeons and Dragons anyone? Get right into the swing of things by trying out axe throwing, archery or even rifle shooting, then end the day with a feast fit for a king.

5. DRIVE A TRACTOR – BACKWARDS

Ever driven a tractor? Ever driven one backwards? With loads of farmland to practice on (don’t worry, no animals in sight!) and an assault course at the end you can find out who really is the most talented of your bunch.
